The Study on The Elderly Travel Demand and Inter-Organizational Integrated Services of Taipei metro / 高齡者旅運需求及其對臺北捷運跨組織運輸整合服務之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣師範大學 / 社會教育學系在職進修碩士班 / 97 / The purpose of this study is (1) understanding the older adults’ situation of taking Taipei metro service and their transportation demand, (2) to explore the inter-organizational transportation demands and their effective service for older adult. In this study, qualitative data are gathered by 6 persons’ in-depth interview as well as 29 persons of focusing group interviewing from two nonprofit association and community organization of older adults who are over 65 years old. The research conclusions are as following:
1. The majority of healthy older adults are still demand for going out independently.
2. Yield seats to older adults still need to propagate continuously.
3. Older adults taking Taipei metro mostly are off-peak period.
4. The main transportation of older adults’ habit is still by bus, Taipei metro next.
5. The transfer information between Taipei metro and bus should be further strengthened.
Based on the above findings, inter-organizational transportation services for older adults are recommended including (1) developing meaningful indicator, (2) the need of station outside service, (3) concerned the need of facilities and equipment in the station for moving safely; besides, three assessment indicators of transportation demand service for older adults as well as further research are also suggested.
