碩士 / 國立臺灣師範大學 / 設計研究所 / 97 / In the traditional industrial society, the social and design values are mainly male-oriented, therefore, the results will lead a lot inconvenience for the female with their living space. With the era of commerce and knowledge-based economy, women's participation in various kinds of space is obviously comparable with man. In this research, we aim to incorporate the concept of female-friendly and expect to develop the intelligent mobility assistance for subjects using the public transportation system across the space efficiently and effectively.
At first, the study reviews the literature of user-centre design, issues of sex and spatial relationship, innovation theory, relevant principles of sociology, and the application in technology, such as RFID and GPS, etc.. Then, field studies by interview and observation methods are applied to understand the users in the course of every space and the relations between the spaces, and other necessary services or demands in the course of moving. The result can generalize eight main problems: 1. the way of calling is inconvenient and dangerous; 2. inefficient information; 3. difficulty in reading the sign of bus; 4. difficulty in knowing bus position and arriving time; 5. enhance visual and audio warning signal; 6. missing the intended bus stop; 7. inconvenience in using the get off button; 8. lack of the travel information.
The intelligent mobility assistance can be developed according to those structures and information, and with relevant technology incorporated. Finally, research method of focused-group is used to consult experts’ opinions for revising the developed system. The system includes six functions: 1.call; 2. information; 3. display; 4. warning; 5.get off; 6. GPS. We anticipate that this research will achieve the purpose of user-friendly, especially female-friendly, in the movement of crossing the space connectedly, systematically and efficiently.
