Economic Evaluation of Grouper Farming at a Regional Scale / 石斑魚養殖產業之區域性經濟分析

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 97 / The structure of cost and return for grouper farming was evaluated based on different geographical locations. The MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) results indicated that farming had significant effects on not only the cost of production but also the productivity and benefit. Furthermore, better selling price increased the benefit in Vietnam and cheaper trash fish, labour, fuel and electric made the better performance on productivity in Indonesia. Besides, there was better quality of fry and more efficiency of labour in Taiwan.
Additionally, both fry and feed were the major costs for grouper farming based from the Discriminant Function Analysis. Finally, suggestions may be proposed to improve the efficiency of management in Taiwan.
