碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 97 / Keelung Port’s has been ranked as the 13th largest container port in the world. The Port act as an important role in Taiwan’s economic development in past decases. However, facing the keen competition among neighboring ports and the challenges arising from rapid economic growth of mainland China, Keelung Port’s container throughput can only mainland around 2 million TEUs. This study provides certain suggestions for Keelung Port, including the strategic alliance with some mainland Chain ports, provisions of incentive measures to those port users, organization reform through corporation model, as well as marketing efforts on short sea shipping, etc. It aims to provide reference to Keelung Port.
