A Study on the Improvement of Shipboard Electric Power System Dynamics / 船舶電力系統動態特性改善之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 電機工程學系 / 97 / The marine power system is an independent system of which the required reliability is higher than that of the seashore power system. Because of the frequent load variation, the generating unit shall have fast and stable response. The excitation system supplies energy to the rotor field and then controls the output voltage and reactive power of the generating unit. Proper tuning of the excitation system parameter will make the generating unit respond to the load change suitably. A sample marine power system is taken as the study system. A set of proper parameters for the excitation system is recommended. Finally, take the power system stabilizer (PSS) into account, and simulate the dynamic response of each work conditions of the system with PSS.
For the marine power system, we choose the Ocean Researcher No. 2 as the study system. First the various electric loads are classified using the statistical tabulation method according to the four different operating conditions of the vessel. Four system dynamic models are then constructed by taking into account the different components in operation and various electric loads under the four different operating conditions. Based on these models, the system dynamic behaviors are studied and analyzed. Suggestions are made for the improvement of the system design.
