A Study on Ship’s Safety Management to Comply with the Port State Control Inspection / 港口國船舶安全管理檢查之因應

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 商船學系所 / 97 / This study based on comprehensive analysis arranged and analyzed ship’s safety management related deficiencies from PSC MOU annual reports, ex: improper management of certificates and documents, negligence of equipment maintenance and bad emergency preparedness due to seafarer’s unawareness. These problems affect the safety of ships and crew members are the key point of inspection. Correct the concepts of related staffs and establish a complete safety management system is the way to amend these deficiencies. Besides the reduction of the PSC inspection deficiencies, the most important is the safety of staffs, cargos, ships and the sustainable use of ocean resources.
