A Study of The Influencing Factors for The Vocation Safety of Seafarers' Marine Work Place / 影響船員海上工作職場安全因素之探討

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 商船學系所 / 97 / The main workplaces of the global seafarers are mostly on the ships. In recent years, continuous maritime accidents reveal the dangers of the workplace.
 If they are injured for accident, while working at sea, it is minor to be hospitalized. When it comes to be serious, it may cause maritime casualties that will result in loss of life, property damage, environmental pollution, influencing honor of the enterprise. Furthermore it may bring a great impacts on the details of seafarer, businesses, and even the society. Therefore, this study will focus on the important subjects which impact on the safety of workplaces for seafarers.
 By reviewing the related literature, we find some influencing factors for Seafarers’ Safety at sea. Moreover, the questionnaire is used to collect data for this study. We choose the Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) to analyze the influential factors for Seafarers of the department of deck, engineering and affairs.
 The result of this research shows that ship is the most influencing factor on the department of deck. Ship and work environment are the most influencing ones for the department of engineering. And seafarers and work environment are the ones for affairs. Finally, this research proposed some improvements that may decrease sea disasters, and create a safe workplace for seafarers.
