Perceptions of Chinese Culture Poster Design / 中華文化海報設計之視覺意象認知研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣科技大學 / 設計研究所 / 97 / Under the influence of global economy, design is influenced by different cultures. Conform to trend of design and esthetics which goes with the development in the world. Designers should explore the essence of Chinese culture. Poster media is one of the most obvious indexes. Design for performing culture poster must possess both transmitting function and culture aesthetical values simultaneously. The presenting ways of poster design are various, and the way centering on Chinese culture has been praised highly by local and overseas designers in recent years. This study applies the Semantic Differential Method as the main research tool. This method can not only analyze the visual imagery of existing Chinese culture Posters, investigate the feelings and effects of testees with design background toward Chinese culture Posters, but can also explore various principles of assessment designers should have and the ways to correspond to them. It expected that the results of this study may produce a rough picture about the design of existing Chinese culture Posters, so as to provide designers with references and assistance in their practical designing work.
