碩士 / 中國文化大學 / 觀光事業研究所 / 97 / Because of Taiwan government encouragement, Taiwan’s Fisheries has changed in recent years. Many fishing ports have been transformed into recreational fishing port, originally from fishing village-based communities to tourism-oriented communities. Therefore, the main purposes of this study are to explore Bisha Fishing Port residents’ perceptions and attitudes on tourism impacts and to examine the influences of the Bisha Fishing Port resident’s economic dependence, community attachment, community participation and perceived local government role on tourism impacts.
The study design was based on quantification to survey Bisha Fishing Port residents. The questionnaire consisted of seven parts including economy dependence, community attachment, community participation, local government role, tourism impact, attitudes toward tourism development and demographic data. There was 359 valid questionnaires were collected in the period from March to April, 2009. Data were utilized by Descriptive statistics, Independent samples T test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and regression analyses in the study. The results of this study indicated that 1. residents of Bisha Fishing Port did not perceive they are highly dependent on tourism for their economic income. Community attachment, community participation and local government role perceived slight positive from residents. 2. Except economy dependence, community attachment, community participation and the role of local governments had significant influences on tourism impacts. 3. Bisha Fishing Port resident’s perceptions of tourism impacts had significant influence on attitudes toward tourism development.
