Tourists’ Behavior on the coastline Recreation: A case Study of Kenting Nanwan Recreational Area / 遊客海岸遊憩行為之探討-以墾丁南灣遊憩區為例

碩士 / 南台科技大學 / 休閒事業管理系 / 97 / Tourism has become a main source of income for many countries with gradual increase in coastline sight-seeing. With its narrow coastline reaching over 1,000 km, Taiwan has created many recreational water activities. As the number of domestic tourists increase, the security management of the sight-seeing recreational area has become the main objective for the local recreational area management. Under frequent accident occurrences, the need to integrate management plans to further adopt safety measures of other countries has become crucial in the decrease of accident occurrences. The purpose of this study was aimed to investigate things can be improved within the recreational area and the factors of choosing the coastline recreational area for tourists through the questionnaire survey and literature review on the coastal safety management.
The formal questionnaire was established through literature review, pretest, and in-depth interview. A total of 500 questionnaires were sent to subjects in Kenting Nanwan recreational area in Pingtung County and of 435 valid questionnaires returned. All the collected data were analyzed by the statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, factor analysis, independent sample t-test, and One-way ANOVA.
The results of this study indicate that there is a significantly difference between facility environment and travel preference. In addition, there is no significant difference between demographic variables and the degrees of emphasis and satisfaction.
