碩士 / 東海大學 / 景觀學系 / 97 / With the maturation of laws, government’s promotion, the implementation of a two-day weekend, and the growth of tourist market, leisure agriculture is trended as the main industry of agriculture in transition and to adapt a more environmentally aware tourism policy for government regulation to pair with ecotourism. Because ecotourism is highly fragile, any development of ecotourism also requires recognition from the tourists, and therefore the goal of this research is to discover how much tourists understand agricultural ecotourism and their attitudes towards the environment, and how satisfied they are with this type of travel. All the data collected will provide the Council of Agriculture, related government units, local tourist service providers and related scholars with references to develop future tourism plans. A questionnaire-survey method conducted for this research acquired 392 effective questionnaires to be analyzed by the statistical software SPSS. The research results found that most tourists have heard of ecotourism awareness but did not fully understand the meaning; they are willing to treat the environment in a positive way and willing to re-visit the site. Age difference affects the understanding of ecotourism awareness, environmental attitudes, and the degree of recreation satisfaction. The study suggests that the marketing and activities to promote agricultural ecotourism should be diverse, and designed according to different age groups. In addition, controlling the number of daily visitors and promoting educational purposes will maintain a quality environment for tourism and leisure without over-development.
