碩士 / 臺北市立教育大學 / 環境教育與資源研究所 / 97 / The purpose of this research is to understand the green consumption knowledge, attitude and behavior, and green consumption that consist of the 4R-Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The subjects of this research are the elementary school students in Taipei and Kin-men. 579 questionnaires were sent to all students in the program and 527 usable questionnaires (91%) were returned. The topics addressed in the questionnaire included: green consumption knowledge, green consumption attitude, green consumption behavior and personal information. A number of findings that came from the questionnaires included:

1. Green consumption knowledge: The overall correct rate was 81.80% and 71.35% of elementary school students in the metropolitan area and off-shore island. There is a great difference between the green consumption knowledge because of the different resident location. Both residents have high scores in the questions about the basic knowledge of green consumption. Related conception is refuse the highest average score. All in all, the elementary school students have such a remarkable difference because of the different ‘gender’, ‘pocket money (allowance)’, ‘participation in environmental activities’, ‘environmental information’ and ‘socio-economic status’.

2. Green consumption attitude: The overall correct rate was 82.41% and 82.58% of elementary school students in the metropolitan area and off-shore island. Green consumption attitude does not have that much a big difference regardless of the different resident. The ranking of the scores from high to low is: ‘Refuse’, ‘Recycle’, and ‘Reduce’, ‘Reuse’ has the different response because the residence is different. All in all, the elementary school students have not a remarkable difference because of the different personal information.

3. Green consumption behavior: The overall correct rate was 80.58% and 80% of elementary school students in the metropolitan area and off-shore island. Green consumption behavior has a remarkable difference due to their different residential place. The ranking of the scores from high to low is: ‘Reuse’, ‘Reduce’, ‘Recycle’, and ‘Refuse’. All in all, the elementary school students have such a remarkable difference because of the different ‘socio-economic statuses.

4. The correlation between green consumption knowledge, green consumption attitude and green consumption behavior.

Finally, there are some suggestions on how to carry out the green consumption in future researches related to this field based on the results of this research.
