The Study of Relationship Between Entry Mode and Knowledge Transfer In Electromagnetic Interference Test Industry / 電磁波測試產業海外市場進入模式與知識轉移之研究

碩士 / 大同大學 / 事業經營學系(所) / 97 / The continuous and fast updating of the high technology electronic products makes products’ life cycle become considerably short. People enjoy the convenience brought by the technology; meanwhile they are afraid of the harm of the electromagnetic wave from the technology. So all countries adopt stricter regulations to control the electromagnetic wave produced by the electronic products and sets management regulations continuously; the knowledge transfer becomes more and more constant, esp. the cross border knowledge transfer.
All the high tech firms must put electronic wave tests into consideration in higher priority. For this reason, this business plays the key role during producing electronic related product. In order to be capable to complete missions in this area, the professional belong to these laboratories must keep on learning international regulations and testing professional knowledge which is not easy to be found, very tacit and difficult to operate the related instruments. Therefore, knowledge transfer is important issue in this industry.
The past research seldom mentions about the relationship between entry modes, knowledge transfer and competitive advantage in this industry. One business unit usually adopts strategies which include entering into new market to expand operation scale and obtain more new customers by lower labor cost, material and service in local area in order to enhance the performance. In the other hand, they also increase their profit by adjust cost structure and raising competitive edge to achieve this goal. Further more, this research also explores the content the knowledge transfer under different entry modes which also influent the scope and depth of knowledge indirectly.
According to the research result shows
1. Entry mode would affect the content of knowledge transfer
2. The acceptance of knowledge of parent company and subsidiary is good for the professional knowledge、 method and experience transfer.
3. They also produce the innovation which includes service, flow and management. And raise competitive advantage.
Key words: knowledge transfer, entry mode, innovation and competitive advantage
