碩士 / 國立雲林科技大學 / 企業管理系碩士班 / 97 / In different stages of the organizational life cycle, from birth, growth, maturity to decline, an organization confronts different challenges and difficulties. For organizations to thrive and develop, they need to use strategies to face challenge and manage difficulties effectively. In recent years, the topic of dealing with “multiple customers” from the stakeholders’ point of view is paid attention to by the academic and practical circles, as Bendheim and Graves (1998) found that multiple stakeholders has evident effects on organizations’ performance management and measurement. Some stakeholders play an important role on organizations’ business strategies. This study identifies them as Strategic Related Partners.
This study used the perspectives from the organizational life cycle to interpret the changes between stakeholders and chose the yacht and steel industries, two traditional industries, as sample.
From analysis and categorization of the data collected and in-depth interviews from six Taiwan companies in the yacht and steel industries, the following are the results of the study:
1. Along with the evolution of the organizational life cycle, the importance of strategic related partners of an enterprise differs as the industry and external environment change.
2. Along with the evolution of the organizational life cycle, an enterprise’s strategic dimension changes from simple to more complicated and mature.
3. Along with the evolution of the organizational life cycle, an enterprise’s managerial dimension changes from simple to more complicated and mature.
