Taiwanese Businessman has been doing business in the mainland for a long period of time. During these years, the amount of local enterprises there is more than ever. As a result, the investment environment is getting harder. From the statistics, the number of Taiwanese businessman going to the mainland is still increasing. To find out is there any differences of the strength they lay on strategy and management between the enterprise in inception, high-growth, and maturity.

Through analysis, it indicates that the enterprises, in the high R&D density industry, in high-growth or maturity will lay more strength on strategy and management than the enterprises in inception. The majority of the high R&D density industry in inception, they might focus on marketing and R&D. Afterward, they might focus on the management issue. It also shows that when the important issues are doing fine, the performance is getting better. The result is consistent with the results of the relevant scholars’ experimental research of strategy types such as the statements of Robinson & Pearce (1988) and Miller (1896). It shows that the strength they lay on the issue will influence performance.
