Analysis of converging channel fin-and-tube heat exchanger / 漸縮鰭管式熱交換器研究

碩士 / 國立勤益科技大學 / 冷凍空調系 / 98 / The curved fin and tube heat exchangers with convergent parallel plate channels are studied numerically. The results are compared with the normal flat plate fin and tube heat exchanger. The curved heat exchanger with different row number, fin pitch are compared with the straight heat exchanger under the same pressure differential.
The results show that the heat transfer and mass flow rate of the flat plate straight fin and tube heat exchangers have little diference with the curved one. In the single row heat exchanger case with both curvatures of X=100㎜ and 60㎜, the heat transfer rate of the curved heat exchanger is smaller than the straight one within 5%, and the mass flow rate of the curved heat exchanger is smaller than the straight one within 7%, the higher the air velocity the smaller the diference.
In the double row fin and tube heat exchanger, the curvature has greater effect on the heat transfer rate and mass flow rate than the single row heat exchanger. For the curvatures of X=150㎜, 100㎜, and 60㎜ under the same pressure difference, the heat transfer rate of the curved heat exchanger is at least 6% less than the straight one, the mass flow rate is at least 13% less than the straight one. The results show that the curvature will reduce greatly the heat exchange heat transfer rate and mass flow rate in the double row heat exchanger. This study provides some information in the design of fin and tube heat exchanger with curved parts.
