The study of core competence of Harier's Logistics / 探討海爾物流之核心競爭力

capitalist economy. These changes have dramatically impacted China’s multinationals and
increase their ability to adapt to different market situations. It has increased their
competitiveness and allowed them to contest with other global multinationals. In contrast,
corporations whom adapted poorly during the past twenty years have obviously been
eliminated. China’s consumer goods market is a global market and any multinationals that
competes in it will automatically face stiff global contest.
The 2009 Global Financial Meltdown has negatively impacted demand for consumer
goods. China’s logistic’s market is also entering growth and adaptability of this crisis during
the same period. But any obstacle is also an opportunity for growth; this will provide Third
Party Logistics as a growth market and lower costs for any business transactions. Currently,
Third Party Logistics operations are concentrated along China’s Yangtze River Tri-state and
Pearl River Tri-state area. From this perspective, the Third Party Logistics services has little
help for China’s own local businesses and offers more value towards multinationals. As
Harier Corporation is China’s own multinationals, the expansion of this Third Party Logistics
is an important factor for its adaptability and core competence towards future growth in any
market it decides to compete in.
This research analysis focuses on Haier Logistics Management Group; the purpose is to
analyze the role of logistic’s management has in the development of Haier’s consumer
electronic business. The research will explore strategies that Haier has implemented for core
business transformation, utilization of Third Party Logistic’s and building infrastructure for
Fourth Party Logistics operation. This direction of growth, which has enhanced
organization’s creativity and adaptability, ultimately, increased the competitiveness of Haier
Group as a whole. The research concludes that logistics will play an important role in its
globalization strategy and increase the competitive advantages for its core business.
