碩士 / 嘉南藥理科技大學 / 藥物科技研究所 / 98 / Wound pain, tissue trauma and infection are the main considerations of wound management, and appropriate dressing selection plays an important role in all. Traditional dressings may adhere to wounds resulting in significant pain and trauma to new tissue upon removal. Currently a lot of research is focused on developing newer dressing materials to treat wounds with coated medical devices to improve the functional and aesthetic outcome of the regenerating skin or scar tissue. Alginate and chitosan are natural biopolymers with properties like biocompatibility and biodegradability. In this study, we developed and characterized simple methods to make hydrogel dressing. Hydrogel was made by adding sodium alginate and chitosan and evaluated the viscosity, adhesion and physical property with DSC and TA-XT texture analyser. And choice the hydrogel of alginate-chitosan that treated with calcium chloride solution and not shrink while drying. The results of viscosity test showed that the water content is increased, the viscosity is decreased, and the alginate concentration is increased, the viscosity is increased. The results of adhesion showed that the ratios of PG/water is increased, the Fmax and AUC are decreased, and alginate concentrations is increased, the Fman and AUC are decreased. The formulations which treated with calcium chloride had the lower Fmax and AUC, but treated with calcium chloride in different times had no apparent differences. The water-uptake capacity show that dressing prepared from polymer materials had very pretty water-uptake capacity; The hydrogel can maintain a moist surroundings , remove exudate, promoting migration of epidermis cells, and then accelerating wound healing. So dressing prepared from alginate was useful for wound healing.
