碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 紡織工程所 / 98 / Degradable materials were paid more and more attention especially in biomaterial, recently. Hence, in this study Polylactic acid fiber (PLA) and Tencel? fiber were employed to fabricate composite nonwoven fabric that have high water absorption and strength as wound dressing matrix fabric. Owing to PLA was synthetic fiber; the fiber surface of PLA was short of hydrophobic functional group, thus Tencel? fiber was used to enhance the water absorption. The swelling layer was made from Bletilla striata (BS), sodium alginate (SA), and the SA/BS aqueous was blended with a Ca2+ solution to form a semiinterpenetrating polymeric network (semi-IPN) within the developed hydrogel system. Afterward, a chitosan (CS) layer was coated at the outerside of SA/BS hydrogel by spray drying.
The experimental result indicated that when the weight ratio of Tencel fiber was 50% and the needle punching density was 110 needles/cm2, the water absorption of PLA/ Tencel composite nonwoven fabric could attain to 369%, tensile strength was 59 N and the air permeability was 155 cm3/ (cm2/s). And in the degradation shown when the concentration of calcium chloride was 0.3% and addition was 1000 μl, the hydrogel had more stable structure.
From cell cultural and animal study, the BS/ALG/CS composite dressing was performed good biocompatibility and non-toxicity. The BS/ALG/CS composite dressing had wound healing faster than commercial dressing and the wound contraction and the promotion also has obvious effect.
