Also, it’s developing our own regional cultural characteristic and unifing mutually with many industries. The regional culture festival is one of the products.
The regional culture festival not only leads local sightseeing industry but benefit the local populance in a economic way. What’s better? It made the beauty of the city well known around the country.
The paper-cutting art is one of important art in Chinese culture, and its materials and procedures are simple. The preservation and the inheritance of traditional art has been a great challenge in the technical era.
The goal of this study is discussing the development of local cultural festival and the characteristic of the paper-cutting art. The traditional form of trying to add new design elements, and applied to modern life.
This study used the literature and the text analysis. To apply paper-cutting style in poster design of local culture festival, we have two things to know. The first we should know is the development and the characteristic of Paper-cutting. The second is to understand the development and the history of Taipei County local culture festival. Then poster design will represent not only traditional but also modern. By this way we could not only propaganda local festival but also continue and develop traditional art with new design technique.
