碩士 / 義守大學 / 工業工程與管理學系碩士班 / 98 / The Mall offering various services such as shopping, leisure, dining and entertainment, culture and lifestyle services have a highly competitive environment today. With the complex functions of commercial space flourishing, how to control customer flow rate more effectively and objectively has been an important issue. Managers can then better utilize immediate scientific data to improve the managing way as well as promote the service quality and create a win-win situation.
This study uses the people count system which is installed at the main entrances in shopping mall to get the more precise visitor count when exit and out the mall. Apriori rule is subsequently used to explore the possible relationship between the two data base such as people count system data base and POS transaction data base, which are stored in separate places. The possible relationship between the changes of visitor rate and revenue rate in time can be better understood. Consequently, marketing management, traffic management, and the senior manager of finance can response to the changes with better strategy. Toward this end, this paper develops a preliminary decision support system for the purpose, thus the related personnel can use the system making better decisions in such as adjusting manpower, developing more effective marketing strategy, and alleviating traffic flow etc. As the result, the customer satisfaction and revenue can therefore be increased.
