碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 企業管理系 / 98 / The container shipping industry has been hit hard during global financial crisis due to the economy slowdown. These shipping companies are required to enhance service quality and operation efficiency in order to maintain their competence advantage. In order to compare operation efficiency during 2006 and 2009 among six Asian’s largest shipping companies, DEA and Fuzzy Preference Relations are utilized in this research. Conventional CCR model of
DEA has been criticized for its inefficient discriminate capability. Therefore,Fuzzy preference relations method is utilized to enhance the effectiveness of the efficiency comparison among these shipping companies. The results of the study indicate the operation efficiency of COSCO (20007), COSCO (2008),Evergreen Group (2007), Evergreen Group (2008), and Hanjin (2008) are among the best efficiency during the period of the study.
