spatial and temporal distribution of rainfall in Taiwan , usually river flow is
small, but heavy rain during the surge of river flow, river biological hit very
well. In this study, the Tsengwen section 59 to section 73 of the middle reaches
about 5940 meters reach, for example, the variable two-dimensional model to
simulate the wet season water management, the average dry season flow, and
return periods 2,5, 10,25,50,100,200 annual peak flow, the river fish of the
habitat types and habitat distribution. And the Shannon index and Simpson
index as indicators of habitat diversity (Habitat diversity index, HDI), evaluate
the normal and flood flows in the river under the habitat diversity.
This study is divided into the form of fish habitat, Shallow pool (1), Medium
pool (2), Deep pool (3), Slow riffle (4), Fast riffle (5), Run (6). Calculation
results can be seen that the dry season (November - April) under the habitat
distribution of flow in the river main channel, to 2,3 for most types of habitat,
and habitat types of 5 no. Wet season (May - October) flow in the river under
the habitat distribution of the main channel to the first three types of habitat for
most, while the 5 types of habitat does not exist. River water during the flood
area although the surge, but most area of any habitat type in the state, the water
without any type of habitat area focused on the main channel. Flood plain
habitat type habitat types Zeyi mainly 2,3.
The results also show that both the dry season flow in the normal or flood
flow rich, the middle reaches of 4,5 Tsengwen river habitat types are very rare
even if the species in future restoration of habitat type is 4 or 5, then How to
create a 4 and 5 of the habitat type is an important issue.
