The effects on hot spring area internation tourist hotel` developments to the local hotels` operations-the case of Jiaosi hot spring area. / 溫泉區國際觀光旅館開發對於當地溫泉旅館之影響-以礁溪溫泉區為例

碩士 / 銘傳大學 / 觀光研究所碩士在職專班 / 98 / Due to the rapid development in recreational activities, Jiaosi has become the most popular attraction in Taiwan. People crowd into Jiaosi hot spring area and international tourist hotel provide people with accommodation, food and beverages service in this area as well. The main purpose of this research is to discover the effects on the local hotel management strategy when the international tourist hotel has launched their business in Jiaosi. Meanwhile, several hotels, tourist hotels, and international tourist hotel in Jiaosi has been chosen to analyze the problems that the hotels are facing, due to the international tourist hotel development in this hot spring area. To find out the connection between international tourist hotel and local hotels in Jiaosi hot spring area, the experts are interviewed and case study method is used to observe the target hotels. Besides, references are also examined in this study. After the interviewing the experts, they acknowledge the crucial effect factors are service, facilities, the ideas of hotel management, brand, value added, and marketing channel.
The study shows that the hotels in Jiaosi hot spring area are effected directly by the crucial effect factors which brought by the development of international tourist hotel, and the operators of the local hotels are now modifying their management strategies. Their Enhancing diverse service, expending the facilities and building up their own brand are trying to make differences from other hotels and reach the goal of sustainable management, promote competitiveness as well.
