碩士 / 明新科技大學 / 企業管理研究所 / 98 / This study examines the influence of 2008 financial crisis on the investment behavior of foreign investors. The samples are selected from the listed companies in Taiwan stock market in the period from the first quarter of year 2008 to the fourth quarter of 2009. The empirical results of regression analysis show that the component stocks of MSCI do influence the holdings of foreign investors. The foreign investors prefer the maturity companies before 2008 financial crisis. But this preference does not continue after the financial crisis. The results of panel data analysis indicate that the larger the company’s asset and the higher the ROA, the more holdings the foreign investors will have. The effects of the component stocks of MSCI are more significant after 2008 financial crisis.
