碩士 / 明新科技大學 / 營建工程與管理研究所 / 98 / Taiwan owns great resources in marine recreation. Recreational scuba diving is an emerging issue in the field of tourism in recent years. At present, people advocate the concept under the premise of sustainable use of recreational resources and conservation of the natural environment. This study researches into diving environment in northern Taiwan. The setting attributes were divided into four dimensions, physical setting, social setting, managerial setting, and activity facilities setting. Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process were applied to construct evaluation system for diving environment in this study. The results show that physical setting is the most important evaluation dimension in hierarchy structure. The most important evaluation factors in hierarchy structure are the attraction of marine ecology, the visibility under the sea, the government regard for conservation of marine ecology, ocean currents and surf, the uniqueness of landscape, safety facilities and emergency medical facilities, diving industries propagandize the protection of the marine environment, and team leaders are familiar with the sea. The result can provide reference materials which planning for the future to the government, practitioners for diving industry, and community groups. People look forward to a better diving environment in the future.
