Studies on the chemical constituents fromEllisella robusta and Briareum violacea / 強韌鞭珊瑚Ellisellarobusta及紫皮珊瑚Briareumviolacea所含化學成分之研究

碩士 / 國立東華大學 / 海洋生物科技研究所 / 98 / The studies on the chemical constituents of gorgonian coral Ellisella robusta collected
off the coast of southern Taiwan, it have resulted in the isolation of nine briarane-type
diterpenoids, including two new compounds, 12-epi-fragilide G (1) and robustolide L (2),
along with seven known metabolites, robustolides B (3), D (4), G‒I (5‒7),
(–)-2-deacetyljuncellin (8), and (–)-3-deacetyljuncellin (9). In addition, the soft coral
Briareum violacea yielded a new cembranoid diterpenoid 10, and two known cembranoids,
pachyclavulariolide (11) and pachyclavulariolide I (12). The structures of compounds 1−12
were determined by spectroscopic methods. The structure, including the absolute
configuration of 6 and 10 were further confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction
analysis.
In the biological activity examination, compounds 2 and 4 were found to show weak
cytotoxicity toward the IMR-32 and DLD-1 tumor cells. Compounds 1, 3−12 showed weak
inhibitory effects on elastase release by human neutrophils, and compounds 3 and 4 has
displayed mild inhibitory effects on superoxide anion generation by human neutrophils.
