碩士 / 國立宜蘭大學 / 應用經濟學系碩士班 / 98 / Does FDI benefit parent enterprises? Does the impact of outward FDI differ by the location choice? Previous literature had only dividing FDI into binary strategy either FDI and non-FDI or China and non-China. This paper takes account of FDI decision as endogenous variable through mixed MNL treatment effect and divides FDI into several strategies of location decisions to examine the employment effect and wage effect at home. The empirical results provide evidences that high-tech industries outward FDI will not only substitute for the labor of parent company but also lower the employee benefits. On the contrary, But we find the complementary effect when firms choose other strategies of non-OECD. The employment and wage effect at home depends on different FDI location decision.
