A Study on Relationships Between Water Generation and Parameters of a Multi-Effect Sea Water Distillation System / 低壓蒸餾式海水淡化系統之造水參數研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 輪機工程研究所 / 98 / Abstract

In this research, the relationships between water production quantity and system parameters of a single-effect water distilling system have been studied based on experimental and simulation approaches using a multi-effect sea water distillation system and a Kongsberg engine room simulator. The results of this research can be a useful reference for the future development of multi-effect sea water distillation systems.
The main parameters analyzed include the vacuum pressure in the evaporation chamber, the amount of cooling sea water, and the temperature of heated water. The main observation was the relationship between the water production in one hour and difference in the chamber temperature and cooling water temperature of the single-effect distilling system.
The parameters set up in Kongsberg water generation simulator were similar to the experiments. Similar relation between water generation and temperature difference has been observed in both the simulator and experiments.
The results of this research show that when the chamber temperature is higher than the cooling water temperature for 8.5℃ and 10.5℃ at -690mm-Hg and -680mm-Hg vacuum pressure, respectively, the water production reaches a tip. In addition, the water production increases to a tip and reduce thereafter while the temperature difference increases.
