碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 運籌管理所 / 98 / The aim of this study is to develop an order picking policy for the distribution center which ships large numbers of small quantities of goods. The order picking policy executes order picking and packing process synchronously. A nonlinear programming decision model is formed to minimize the remaining space of containers and the picking path of each order. The model offers distribution center a better strategy to decrease the time spend on order picking and increase the rate of container loading efficiently.
The purpose of executing order picking and packing process synchronously is to combine the order picking process with packing process to improve the operational efficiency of existing order picking policy in order to shorten the time spend on order picking. The policy is to find a better picking sequence and a loading configuration to enhance operational efficiency of pickers.
Optimal solution software Lingo 11.0 is utilized to solve this decision model. The Computer-Aided Design software Auto-CAD is applied to draw the loading configuration based on the optimal solution. Meanwhile, to verify there is no paradox when executing the order picking policy.
