Experimental Design Method and Parameter Optimization of Phase-Shift Full-Bridge Resonant Converter for the Ocean Current Power Generation System / 以實驗設計法進行海流發電系統之全橋相移式諧振轉換器研製與最佳化

碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 機械與自動化工程所 / 98 / This thesis aims at the investigation on implementation of a full-bridge boost converter for ocean current generation system. In this system, a prime mover is used to drive the water flowing within a constructed water tank so as to simulate the behavior of ocean current. The flowing water can further drive a permanent synchronous generator for generating power. When the generator is operated, the characteristics of the generator will be further obtained. A converter can be designed in accordance with these characteristics. Owing to the ocean current energy is an unstable energy such that the turbine is always operated under lower rotary speed. Therefore, the design of a boost full-bridge converter is required in this system.
This converter is additionally provided with a phase-shift circuit for each arm. Meanwhile, a zero-switching technique is utilized in this converter for reducing its switching loss. Especially, in this thesis, a resonant circuit is also employed for improving the power factor of the entire circuit system wherein the resonant circuit is composed of a leakage inductance from the primary side of a transformer and a capacitance reflected from secondary side to primary side of the transformer. Moreover, in this thesis, three factors including load value, operation frequency of the converter, and gear ratio will be selected to evaluate the optimal design so as to provide a preferred output power efficiency of the converter by using Taguchi method and dual response surface method respectively.
