A Study of the traditional industry knowledge management impetus difficulty-A case study of CSBC Corporation, Taiwan / 傳統產業知識管理推動現況與困難之探討-以台灣國際造船公司為例

碩士 / 高雄師範大學 / 人力與知識管理研究所 / 98 / With Knowledge-based Economy age coming, enterprises have gradually transformed the business value and experience into physical assets through the knowledge management. Enterprise builds up its core competency and knowledge to increase enterprise’s competency and create enterprise value. Meanwhile, enterprise can employ knowledge management to achieve its target more efficiently.

The main purpose of this study is to discuss about the situation and difficulty in developing knowledge management in CSBC Corporation, Taiwan. Through the scope of knowledge management for administers and employees from each department in CSBC Corporation, Taiwan., the research is to explore the current difficult situation that CSBC Corporation, Taiwan is facing. With the evaluation of knowledge management implementation, it will state that CSBC Corporation, Taiwan has the situation and requirement for knowledge management to explore the opportunities and difficulties for planning the development of knowledge management. Moreover, the most important thing is to provide the resources for the system of its knowledge management in the future.

This research states that knowledge management is the long term strategy for
enterprise to develop. Within this literature reviews, it provides the following eight
factors that is relevant to this research. The eight factors are: knowledge management
strategy, knowledge-oriented culture, incentive activities, supervisors support,
organizational structure, knowledger management process, organizational resource,
and education and training. Here are some discovery for this study complied by
sampling questionnaire and interviews

1. Employee’s age is below thirty-five, education is above undergraduate and major is in engineering and business management usually believes that the company tries to carry out current knowledge management. There are eight parts of factor showing some disagree, especially knowledge management strategy, knowledge oriented culture, incentive activities and organization recourse notes high disagree.
2. In diverse age of employees in incentive activities shows extreme difference. Company employees in age thirty feel disagree to current incentive activities.
3. In different education of employees to knowledge management strategy shows extreme diverse. For example, some employees who had undergraduate degree are disagreed with the company to knowledge management guidable, vision, and connection with knowledge management strategy.
4. In different job function of employees to incentive activities shows strongly difference. For example, technical workers and engineers to efficiency of incentive activities feel highly disagreed.
