A Comparative Study on the Universties Entrance Systems between Taiwan and Mainland China / 海峽兩岸大學入學制度之比較研究

碩士 / 國立屏東教育大學 / 教育行政研究所 / 98 / The main purpose of this study was to compare the universities’ entrance systems from the development process, the implementation of the current situation and development trend between Taiwan and Mainland China. The study used comparative and documentary analysis to investigate the similarities and differences between them. The references were based on the universities’ entrance systems of U.S.A., France, U.K., Japan, and Korea. The conclusions are as follows:
1.The professional organizers, integrated assessment of student recruitment and multi-admission procedure are characteristic in universities’ entrance systems between Taiwan and Mainland China.
2.The organizer of examination is a standing agency. To separate procedure of examination and admission is based on principles of equity and justice.
3.Integrated assessment of student recruitment is considered not only the subjects examination but also more assessment of student recruitment.
4.It produce inevitable credibility problem in the multi-admission procedure.
5.The examination affects teaching in senior high school and university. In order to avoid the situation, change the number and choose of examination subjects in the future is required.
some suggestions of the dissertation are as follows:
1.The examination agency provides more service.
(1)To conduct the examination many times such that provides multiple choice for student.
(2)To conduct more other examination and increasing the simulations of enrollment system.
2.To extend self-enrollment, and establish appropriate procedure in enrollment system.
(1)Increasing the ratio of self-enrollment year by year.
(2)To confirm the appropriateness of application requirements in self-enrollment system.
(3)To focus on the non-academic professional subjects in self-enrollment written test.
(4)The examination procedure is in two steps. First, all students participate in the joint examination, and then submit the application individually.
3.Entrance examination should be based on integrated assessment of student recruitment.
4.Completely establish the fairness of diverse assessment and erect an integrity-based social ethic.
(1)To unify the pattern of written information.
(2)To normalize the procedure of oral test.
(3)To build the measure of social supervision by open admissions information.
