碩士 / 國立臺南大學 / 科技管理研究所教學碩士班 / 98 / In the past, the manufacturing industry started first, and it became the leading industry in Taiwan. Many theories can be used for practical about the work flow, the standardization, and the cost down issue etc. As the Taiwan people have higher education level and the accumulation of knowledge, the labor costs increase gradually. Some businesses move to China and Southeast Asian countries for reducing costs. These companies in Taiwan need to break the traditional thoughts, the developed countries with high living standard are major in valuable service industry, such as McDonald''s from United States, Mos Burger from Japan and so on. These companies wonder how to increase the competitiveness of service industries, but they do not have experience about service industry before nor model from world-famous companies in Taiwan.
In this globalization and information technology decade, the business model turns to cross international to enhance competitiveness. Global supply chain management not only reduces transaction costs, but is treated as a core strategy. Most of service enterprises are small and medium sizes in Taiwan. Although there are many theories of global supply chain, the operator of SMEs can’t understand the business model of the new structure. So, this study tries to integrate theory and practice of global supply chain management functional framework. The most well-known traditional food company in Tainan is Chou’s, which owned a store in China now. So, this study tries to introduce the model to Chou’s for clear presentation.
