An Economic Analysis of Giant Grouper(Epinephelus lanceolatus) Culture in Taiwan / 臺灣龍膽石斑之養殖經濟分析

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 98 / This Research is investigate of giant grouper culture of Kaohsiung and Pingtung area. The random questionnaire surveys, collect farm-related data, to produce economic analysis. The interviewed a sample of households is located in Kaohsiung and Pingtung. The results of the use of, MANOVA, principal component analysis, canonical correlation analysis, reading giant grouper farming cost of investment and profit factor, as a reference of this industry.
As a result, giant grouper usually rise from 0.6㎏-wight juvenile, that made starting fry costs higher then farming other groupers. While the cost of feed and fry two important factors that to affect the profit, resulting in the net profit of fry and feed, is stocking density, and survive rate. In this study, Pingtung’s survive rate is relatively high, and the mixture of artificial diet and trash fish, that saves a large number of feed cost, Pingtung has better profitability. The owner in Kaohsiung fully use trash fish through the hole raising period, so that increased the feed costs, but the survival rate is worth than in Pingtung and seriously affect profit.
