碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 98 / Taiwan is a country of high economic development, naturally has strongly transport activities, those transport activities will bring a variety of environmental problems, for example: energy and land depletion, Ecocide, air pollution…. Therefore, this is a important issue for sustainable development: Improve the sustainability of transportation part; this paper focused on Taiwan intra-city passenger transportation, attempted to establish an indicators system to evaluate the impacts of intra-city passenger transport on sustainable development. If the status of current transportation system needs improvement, It’s necessary that implement sustainable strategy to change usage of modes, than use the indicators system that described above to estimate the effect of strategy.
This paper used nine sustainable development indicators to estimate sustainability of transportation system and modes, and applied mode choice model to analyze varies of intra-city transportation system when strategy was implemented. This is a assessment tool that combine sustainable indicators system and mode choice model for evaluating sustainable development strategies of intra-city passenger transport.
This paper selected Taipei City and Kaohsiung City as an example, as a result, in terms of total mass, Kaohsiung City’s sustainability was better than Taipei City; but in terms of unit trip, Taipei City is better than Kaohsiung City. After completion of evaluation for current status, there are five strategies were implemented in Taipei City and Kaohsiung City, respectively. As the result, built Integral bicycle network was the best strategy of sustainability for Taipei City; and built fully value of battery swap stations was the best strategy for Kaohsiung City.
