The Analysis on Wave Characteristics and Power Potentials on the Northeast Coastal Waters of Taiwan / 台灣東北海域波浪特性與波能潛勢分析研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 98 / The study is aimed at analyzing the wave characteristics and power potentials on the Northeast Coastal Waters of Taiwan. With the wave data of by hours from the four field stations in the Northeast Coastal Waters, not only the wave characteristics statistics but also the wave power potentials analysis are investigated. Moreover, the waters in Keelung, which has more wave potentials, are studied further with data of the time series measured values to explore the wave characteristics.
The wave characteristics statistical results show the wave heights in winter are between 1.0 and 2.5 meters with associate period between 5 and 8 seconds. The result of the distribution of the wave power shows that the two field stations Port of Keelung and Londong, have the highest development potential in November to February. Port of Keelung even has the highest average wave power of about 20kw indicating about 60 ~ 70% of the time over to 10kw. Moreover, the result of the variations of the period shows that Te and Tp transform parameter ( =0.9) (Cornett,2006) can be used. Through the result of Standard Wave Spectrum, the peak parameter  of the wave spectrum JONSWAP is more valid between 0.9 and 1.5. in Keelung waters.
According to the analysis of HHT, Masking Signal Empirical Mode Decomposition (MSEMD) is for disassembling Intrinsic Mode Function, IMF, it is found that the main component is between about 0.10 and 0.14Hz, which is on a higher frequency than the main component. Besides, when the peak parameter of the wave spectrum is higher, the power of the main component is more similar to the total power.
