碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 海洋環境資訊學系 / 98 / The purpose of this thesis is to understand whether or not the implementation of marine education can improve the marine conservation concepts of the elementary school children. The object of this study is mainly for the 1st grade students of Jhong-Fu Elementary School in Chungli City. This study will integrate game, reading from internet, story telling and other teaching methods in class, to improve the basic ocean knowledge of the children and raise their interest to understand the ocean. This study will design “concept of marine environmental conservation” pre- and post- test questionnaires as a research tool. The first pre-test will be held in the beginning of the school opening in September, after 9-class marine teaching, we will have second pre-test, and post-test will be held one week later. It is found that the marine education and teaching activities can really enhance 1st grade students’ knowledge of marine environmental conservation.
