碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 海洋環境資訊學系 / 98 / The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effects of the STS instructional module to the marine education of the sixth grade students in elementary school. The study adopted a quasi-experimental design for 62 students of Wu-Du elementary school in Keelung, they were divided into two groups, an experimental group and a control group. Students in the experimental group received a twelve-week STS integrated course, while the control group received the traditional course. The testing of “Neritic Squid Achievement Test” and “The Scale for Attitude towards Marine” were used for all students to collect data before and after teaching. To compare the learning effectiveness between these two groups, the collected data were analyzed by “One-Way Analysis of Covariance”, “Johnson-Neyman” and “t-test”. The results show that: 1). In “Neritic Squid Achievement Test”, the STS instruction can enhance students’ cognition about neritic squid, 2). In “The Scale for Attitude towards Marine”, there was no significant difference between experimental group and control group.
