The Study on the Relationship among Motivation System ,Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention for Terminal Handling Company / 碼頭裝卸公司激勵制度、工作滿足與離職傾向之關係研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 運輸與航海科學系 / 98 / Taiwan is an island country. External trade plays an important role in the economic activity. The trade channel to the outside is ocean shipping primarily. The work of ocean transportation is cooperates by port, rotation and container shipping. Among them, the port activity is the most important thing in the ocean transportation system. To increase the efficiency of ocean transportation system, we must to ensure that the port works efficiently.And the stevedore’s efficiency problem is considered the most imperative in need of settlement. In the past, because of the indeterminate relationship between the labor and the management, the port of Taiwan produced lots of managerial predicament. So how to improve through the motivation system and offering working environment that stevedore can fully waving potentiality. It is essential to ensure and maintain high-quality working efficiency.
The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship of the motivation system, job satisfaction existing condition, personal attribute and turnover intention of terminal handling company now. In the hope of offering the consultation of motivation system to the terminal handling company for manage employees. The result of study reveals: (1) Importance of five motivation such as promotion, education and training, job assigning by turns, wages and business bonus are being the highest to the stevedore. But it get to be obviously low in public, controlling and obtaining; (2) Job confirming and achievements of job satisfaction is obviously relevant in the face of turnover intention; job confirming and achievements are highly relevant in the face of the importance of education and training and wages; (3) The higher job satisfaction, the lower turnover intention; (4) Part of personal attribute are obviously different in the face of the perception, job satisfaction and turnover intention; (5) Job satisfaction can’t be intermediary variable.
According to the above-mentioned results, we suggested that: Setting up the smooth promotion channel, Standard education and training system, elastic system of job assigning by turns, Impartial wage structure and Personnal bonus system. These are better for improving stevedore’s work job satisfaction.
