Tourist's Recreation Travel Satisfaction in Coastal Town-A Case Study of Shihmen Township / 濱海鄉鎮遊客休閒遊憩滿意度之研究-以石門鄉為例

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 98 / The study explores tourists’ motivations, attention given before trip, trip satisfaction and concerns of possible facilities and actions in future plans when they come to Shimen Township, and further presents suggestions for government bodies and non-government ones as reference for administration, development, planning, operation/management, and marketing, thus further meet the requirements of tourists.
The study utilizes questionnaire to collect data via convenient sampling, and obtains 462 valid copies. The analysis methods include descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, single-factor variable analysis, correlation analysis and IPA analysis. The result of the study reveals that:
1.The tourists going to Shimen Township of Taipei County are characterized in: male, aged 21-30, unmarried, college graduate, serving in industry, commerce and service, living in the North, without fixed salaries. The tourism features include: travel times above 5, trip with special purpose, self drive, travel partners being friends, colleagues, and classmates, dwell time 1~2 hours, major travel purposes being pure sightseeing, tourism information coming from revisiting, and planning to revisit Shimen Township within 3 years.
2.As to the tourism motivations, there are three aspects as Physiological Recreation, Social Intercourse, and Education & Culture. The top three motivations of the interviewed tourists visiting Shimen Township of Taipei County are: (1) getting close to the nature and enjoying the beautiful coastal sceneries; (2) relaxation during holidays, relieving occupational stress; (3) reunion with family and emotion promotion.
3.As to attention given before trip, it is classified into six aspects as Transportation Convenience, Public Facilities, Natural Landscape, Cultural Landscape, Recreational Functions, and Consumption. The top three items that the interviewed tourists pay attention to before trip are: (1) cleanness of harbor environment, (2) clear signposts and indications between sight spots, (3) harbor environment sceneries.
4.As to the satisfaction of tourism experience, it is classified into 6 aspects as Transportation Convenience, Public Facilities, Natural Landscape, Cultural Landscape, Recreational Functions, and Consumption. The top three items that the interviewed tourists are satisfied with are: (1) the sight spots providing functions of stress relieving, (2) harbor environment sceneries, (3) convenience of self drive.
5.There is clear positive correlation between tourists’ motivations, attention given before trip, and experience satisfaction when visiting Shimen Township of Taipei County.
6.The exploration of tourist’ attention given before trip and experience satisfaction via IPA reveals that the following nine items need to be improved first: convenience of public transportation, details on narration signs inside the sight spots, clear design of traffic flow indications inside the sight spots, preservation and maintenance of temples, design art of buildings, quality and features of refreshments & drinks, reasonable prices of local food & drinks, unique local Zongzi, and reasonable prices in sightseeing fish market. The emphasis shall be put on improving: convenience of transportation between sight spots, numbers and convenience of washrooms inside the sight spots, security inside the sight spots, cleanness of harbor environment, and environment forestation.
