碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 98 / Grub fish(Parapercis sexfasciata) is one of the demersal fishes in the waters off northeastern Taiwan. In order to realize the reproductive biology of this species. A total of 974 specimens were obtained by otter trawls and sampled in Dasi fishing port, Ilan Country, monthly from Dec. 2008 to Dec. 2009. The relationship between standard length (SL ; in cm) and body weight (BW ; in g)was represented as BW=0.01532SL3.05794. By histological examination and oocyte measurement, the oocyte development could be divided into chromatin-nucleonus stage, peri-nucleonus stage, yolk vesicle stage, yolk stage, migratory nucleus stage, ripe egg stage and atretic oocytes stage. The ovary was matured when gonadosomatic index (GSI) was more than 5.0. Parapercis sexfasciata is one of group-synchronous species, and its spawning season were estimated to be from February to June through histological examination, GSI and oocyte measurement. Average length at 50% sexual maturity was estimated to be 14.51 cm SL for this species based on the relationship between proportion of maturity and standard length. The fecundity of this species were 4611~43011(n=21). The relationship between fecundity (F) and gonad weight (GW) was F = 76405.9GW-2016.562(r² = 0.82, n=26)。
