Effects of dietary protein, lipid levels and vegetative ingredients replacing fish meal on growth performance of Giant Cichlid (Petenia splendida "RED") / 飼料中添加不同含量的蛋白質與脂質及植物性原料取代魚粉對紅頭金鯛的影響

碩士 / 臺灣大學 / 漁業科學研究所 / 98 / Giant Cichlid (Petenia splendida "RED") is a newly developed species with delicious meat. It grow rapidly when extensive farming. It can grow up to 40 cm with beautiful appearance and bright color with huge market potential. An 8-weeks experiment was conduceted to study the effects of dietary protein, lipid levels and vegetative ingredients replacing fish meal on growth performance of Giant Cichlid (Petenia splendida "RED").

Experiment I: 6 formulated diet with 3 levels of crude protein(CP 45%, 40%, 35%) and 2 levels of crude lipid (CL 8%, 13%) were fed to Giant Cichlid for 8 weeks. The results showed that the best diet with 45% protein and 13% lipid is weight gain 136% and feed efficiency 56%.

Experiment II: the examine the replacement of the fish meal with vegetative ingredients at various levels in practical feeds for Giant Cichlid, C5、C10 and C15,replacing fish meal with corn protein by 5%、10%、15%. After 8 weeks feeding trial, the results showed that the optimal replacement ratio of corn protein is 10%.
Experiment III:Four diets were supplemented with additional 8% lipid with soybean oil and fish oil : C0(3:2) 、L1(soybean oil ) 、soybean oil and fish oil :L2(4:1)、and L3(fish oil). After 8 weeks feeding, the results showed that experiment groups weight gain and feed efficiency were no significantly differences with soybean oil and fish oil : C0(3:2).
