國民小學推動海洋教育現況與需求之研究--從桃園縣不同區域特性進行探討

碩士 / 臺北市立教育大學 / 課程與教學研究所課程與教學碩士學位在職進修專班 / 98 / The purpose of this study is to realize the status and needs of the promotion of marine education in the elementary schools in Taoyuan County. This study mainly focuses on the status of the five aspects, planning of administration, teachers, the use of the teaching materials and resources, teaching methods, and teaching evaluation. It also reviews the needs of the administrative support, compiling of the teaching materials, teaching ability, professional knowledge, and social environment in the promotion of marine education. The differences in the status and needs in marine education are also examined by areas.

The method of the study is to adopt the questionnaire survey, and the formal teachers in Taoyuan county public elementary schools are the subjects. The “Questionnaire of teaching status and needs to promote marine education in the Taoyuan county elementary schools” is used for the study. There are 500 effective questionnaires from 524 questionnaire samples and the response rate is 96.5%. The results were analyzed statistically by Descriptive statistics, Chi-square test of homogeneity of proportions, Kendall coefficient of concordance statistical methods. The results of this study are concluded as follows:

1. The status of the promotion of marine education in Taoyuan County elementary schools.
(1)89.4% of the schools have not started the marine education on entire school basis. The successful rate of the schools located in coastal areas are higher, while the ones in mountain areas are lower.
(2)62.2% of the teachers have marine education teaching experience. Most of them are from the schools in coastal areas and their professional knowledge are learned through self-study.
(3)Teaching materials are mainly from textbooks and related websites on marine education. The one most often used is the audio-video equipment and the teaching evaluation is done by oral evaluation.
(4)The administrative support provided by schools are mainly on the promotion which encourages teachers to start marine education.
2. There’s no significant difference on teachers, use of teaching materials and resources among the schools from different areas.
3. The needs of promoting marine education in Taoyuan county elementary schools.
(1)Administrative Support : It is required that the promotion activities held by schools can fit for the topics of marine education; experts and scholars with relevant experience need to be invited to share or to assist in teaching.
(2)Teaching Materials Compiling: The most important thing is to trigger the interest of students.
(3)Teaching Ability: The most important ability is to use different kinds of instruction media well.
(4)Professional Knowledge: Correct marine foundamental knowledge is required.
(5)Social Environment: Education authorities need to recognize the importance of marine education and its promotion.
4. There are no significant differences on the needs of administrative support, teaching materials compiling, teaching ability, and professional knowledge, while the need of social environment is significantly different among different regions.
