The Empirical Analysis of Banking Credit Policy on The Yacht Industry / 我國銀行業對遊艇產業授信政策之實證分析

Banking income is earned from interest loan. Over two years the U.S. falls on subprime mortgages and the impact of the global financial crisis, global economic downturn, rising unemployment and reducing consumption, hence the bank should promote multi-credit business for the purpose of increasing revenue. Since the size of the yacht has emerged a large tendency in the world, manufacturing time is becoming to longer. However in the recent the buyer is difficult to open letter of credit due to credit tightening of the bank, it has leaded to extend payment period and increase the proportion. Particularly, small and medium sized shipyard need to increase the capital according to the requirement of its operation.
This paper reviews the status of yacht management industry and future prospects, analyses the yacht industry by SWOT, highlights the bank credit principles and discovers the assessment factors of bank credit policies for the yacht industry. Credit assessment methods were quoted from A bank credit units in charge of the yacht business to figure out other domestic banks’ credit assessment considerations on the yacht industry and to design a questionnaire. The questionnaire attempts to identify survey respondents’ cognition degree by difference analysis, then use the Entropy weight and Gray Relationship Analysis to discover the priority ranking order of bank credit assessment considerations.
The finding of the research shows that the dimension ranking order of the bank’s credit assessment considerations are repayment ability, empirical evaluation, creditor protection, credit purpose, borrowers and market outlook. The factors’ ranking orders of credit assessment considerations are debt situation of company, company profit status and reasonable account-receivable management at every stage of the order. Finally, the paper provides some suggestions for domestic yacht industry and local banks, and gives some recommendations for the further research.
