Research on Application of UV Curing for Trenchless Technology to Sanitary Sewers Repairs / 免開挖翻修之UV固化工法應用於污水下水道管線修繕之探討

碩士 / 正修科技大學 / 營建工程研究所 / 99 / The pollution brought by rapid urban development and industrial & commercial activities seriously impacts the urban quality of life. The household sewage and industrial wastewater, especially which is directly discharged into the rivers and harbor without proper treatment, damages environmental sanitation, depreciates city appearance, and further obstructs urban development. In order to thoroughly solve the problems of water pollution, sewerage system has become important infrastructure of solid urban development and also an index of modernization of a country.
According to the experiences in sewerage system construction, it is found that, after practical operation for a period of time, the service function of sewer pipes will be greatly impacted due to lack of periodical maintenance, poor construction quality, improper use of pipe materials, earthquakes, vehicle load, etc. In order to understand if the service function of the sewer pipes meets the expectation, the sewer pipes and manholes need periodical investigation. By application of TV investigation, the damage condition of the pipes will be analyzed and the repair method will be carefully planned and applied to maintain the function of the sewerage systems.
If the traditional “open cut” method is applied to sewer pipes repair in urban area, the roads have to be closed during the construction period. Thus, the construction and road closure will greatly influence the traffic condition, environment, and quality of life in the neighborhood. It takes expensive social costs. On the contrary, the trenchless method, which has been applied to sewer pipe repair in recently years, greatly decreases the influences on traffic condition. The trenchless technology has been extensively applied due to its advantages of low noise, low vibration, and low pollution.
This study analyzes the characteristics, functions, and applicable scopes of newly-introduced UV curing for trenchless technology to sewer pipe repair in urban areas and also reviews the planning of the repair projects which introduced trenchless method.
