碩士 / 台灣首府大學 / 教育研究所 / 99 / This study investigated participation in after-school learning programs among elementary school students in Yunlin County coastal areas. Differences in learning satisfaction and factors affecting learning satisfaction were explored. The sample comsists of 373 valid responses collected from fourth and sixth-year elementary school students in Yunlin County coastal areas. The sample was statistically analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Chi-square test to obtain the following findings:

.“After-school cram school” was the dominant type of after-school learning among the elementary school students in Yunlin County coastal areas, and “homework support”, “English”, and “math related” programs were the top three programs they participated in.
.Among the students in coastal areas, a higher ratio of girl students participated in “homework support” and “music related” programs.
.In a comparison between fourth and sixth-year students in Yunlin County coastal areas, a larger ratio of fourth-year students participated in “homework support” programs, and a larger ratio of sixth-year students participated in “math related” programs.
.Among students studying in schools with 12 or fewer classes, the ratio of students participating in “after-school homework support programs in school” was relatively larger; among students studying in schools with 13~24 classes and 25 or more classes, the ratio of students participating in “homework support cram schools” was relatively larger.
.Generally, elementary school students in Yunlin County coastal areas showed a positive level of satisfaction towards after-school programs.
.Among the students in coastal areas, sixth-year students were more satisfied with “peer relations” of after-school programs they participated in than fourth-year students.
.Among the students in coastal areas, students studying in schools with 12 or fewer classes and 13~24 classes were more satisfied with “teaching methods” of after-school programs they participated in than those studying in schools with 25 or more classes.
.Among the students in coastal areas, students participating in talent and skill cram schools had a higher level of satisfaction with “teaching methods” and “discipline methods” of their after-school programs than those participating in off-campus homework support programs.
