Study of Cultivating Saline Plants on Yunlin Costal Lowlands / 雲林沿海低地鹽水植生之研究

碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 水利工程與資源保育研究所 / 99 / Coastal land subsidence in Yunlin was due to excessive use of groundwater resources. This situation led to seawater intrusion, soil salinization, groundwater salinization and can not discharge the surface water in low-lying zone. This study investigated the feasibility of plant irrigation by saline water. It assists to reduce the need for surface water discharge in low-lying zone.
This study set up an agricultural experimental site which cultivating 10 plants by saline water on artificial floating island. The results shows the Simpleleaf Shrub Chastetree, Tea Tree,Seaside Clerodendrum and Society Garlic are growing well with saline water. The related literatures indicate that the above plants have economic value.
