碩士 / 輔仁大學 / 景觀設計學系碩士班 / 99 / In the course of local development, to fulfill the demand of Policy-maker and the
residents and create an environment and development mode with local value and
identification, the cognition and expectation of local resident can be a basis for future
development.
To learn about the local identification and expectation, this case study adopts the
research method of cognitive map and interview and applies it in Chao-shan and
Hai-shan in Hsinchu. The four items are bring up for subject analyze：1. daily life and
leisure place, 2. path and corridor, 3. local activities and facility to get together, 4.
special landscape and facilities. Base on the four items to find out the elements of an
important place、the relationships of residents and facilities、the expectation for future
development，and review the future projects of public policy.
By making cognitive map and interview to understanding residents’
environmental cognition towards their living space, this study suggested that Xiangshan
Mazu Temple、Chao-shan Elementary School、Fu-li Junior High School、That Lu
Wan Street、Tu Di Gong Temple are the most important place, and Hai-shan needs a
place for community activities and leisure time.
The government projects intend to development a leisure tourism plan, it is
against the attribute of local life mode and usage and requirement of place；Moreover,
there are three issues brought up for the project:「promoting the tourism by local
context and ecology」、「to push forward the local Infrastructure by tourism」and
「considering the environment and quality of life」, but this study indicated that the
items are not conformed with the expectation, it suggest the better way should be
more stress the experiment of local agriculture and fishing village lifestyle, and
reduce the impact and chance of Present situation, and establish the goal of 「arouse
local function」、「increase the quality of residential environment」to assist building a
community environment and build up a identification of place.
