碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 企業管理系 / 99 / In recent years, the high – tech industry of our country has been facing shortage of worker in the labor force, this is due to the booming development of the high-tech industry and the gradual transformation of the domestic population structure, there for Taiwan government had started to officially import labors in 1989.
However, foreign workers as a result of culture difference causes to poor overseas adjustment and impacts strongly on job performance and life problems. Furthermore, the management must be able to understand dispositions and behaviors of foreign labor and the differences between their cultural context, enterprise environment and the organization culture, so that the goals of the labor meets the goals of the enterprise , this would enhance the labor’s work performance and increase the enterprise’s competitive advantage. According to statistics, the Vietnam’s foreign workers are the second number of the foreign workers in Taiwan with an increasing trend year by year. Accordingly, this research seeks to discuss the Vietnam’s foreign workers in culture difference and overseas adjustment affecting job performance in Taiwan .
The purpose of this study focuses on the Vietnam’s Foreign workers, 386 questionnaires were recruited and the 290 questionnaires were effectively returned. The data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 for descriptive analysis and empirical analysis. Statistical methods included descriptive Statistics, T-test, One-Way ANOVA and Regression Analysis; we acquire the conclusion as follows:(1)Different personal variable is significantly related to the factor of the culture difference, overseas Adjustment and job performance. (2) Culture difference’s power distance, uncertainty avoidance, long-term orientation affect overseas adjustment significantly. (3) Culture difference’s power distance, individualism affect to overseas adjustment significantly. (4) Overseas adjustment’s work adjustment and general adjustment affect to job performance significantly.
